The numbers are staggering!

58% of healthcare data breaches are caused by people with authorised access to applications and files. These “insider" breaches put sensitive data at risk, and potentially pose a significant threat and harm to patient care.

Yet, organisations are often too preoccupied with defending their company and network from external cyber threats, and fail to address the very real and dangerous risk that may lie within their own organisation - insiders.

In this article, I articulate some of the findings that the Insider Threat Division of CERT have come out specifically dealing with the Helathcare sector.
